The Media spotlight hits our Mazda2 BIG TIME!

Irvine-based Mazda today gave media a first glimpse of the U.S.-bound Mazda 2. The car will be the smallest offered by Mazda North American Operations, falling below the Mazda 3 in the automaker’s lineup.

This high-mileage subcompact has earned Car of the Year awards in more than 20 countries overseas since its launch in 2007. The L.A. Auto Show marks the U.S. debut of this highly anticipated vehicle. With an overall length of 155.51 inches, this B-segment car is about about 5 inches longer than a Toyota Yaris and more than 20 inches shorter than its bigger brother, the Mazda 3. Here are some specs on this new little five-passenger hatchback:

It's a WRAP!! Join us for a great cause!

Tustin Mazda hosts the students of Orange County High School of the Arts while they “wrap” for you!
Students of Santa Ana’s Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA) will be offering to do your holiday gift wrapping! The Opera and Choral Conservatory will have students stationed at Tustin Mazda on Friday, Dec. 11 and Sat. Dec 12 to wrap your gifts this year.
The students will be happy to wrap for you on Friday from 4-8 PM and on Saturday from 11-4.
Tustin Mazda is located at 5 Auto Center Drive.
Established in 1987, the Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA) provides a creative, challenging and nurturing environment that offers bright and talented students unparalleled preparation for higher education and a profession in the arts.
This premier public charter school currently serves more than 1,380 students in grades 7-12 from 92 cities throughout Southern California.
OCHSA Named One of America's Top Public High Schools by Newsweek!
OCHSA Named One of O.C.'s Best Public Schools by the Orange County Register!
The Opera & Choral Conservatory is designed as an intensive program offering pre-professional operatic training for talented young singers. Courses offer practical experience in the preparation and performance of audition selections, competition, and recital techniques, with an emphasis on standard operatic literature. In addition, all students receive individual vocal coaching and instruction from experienced professionals. Master classes, with internationally acclaimed singers, conductors, and stage directors, are also offered throughout the school year.

The students are hoping for donations while wrapping and you’ll have all your gifts wrapped, one less thing on your growing holiday list of things to do!
The Orange County High School of the Arts is a tuition-free, donation-dependent, public charter school. No student is admitted or denied based upon financial capacity. However, each school year we must raise approximately $4 million to fund the eleven arts conservatories and we rely on parents and the community-at-large to help us reach this goal.

All cash donations to the school are fully tax deductible. OCHSA is registered as a non-profit organization under IRS Code 501(c)(3).

Mazda 3 Receives ALG Award for Highest Residual Value

IRVINE, Calif. (December 2, 2009) – The 2010 MAZDA3 was today named the Best Mid-Compact Car for value retention by ALG. Additionally, the MAZDA6 sport sedan and the Mazda CX-9 crossover SUV ranked third place in their respective classes. And, in its highest finishing position ever, the Mazda brand was ranked third in predicted resale value, up from sixth position in 2009.

ALG honors vehicles in 19 individual industry segments that they predict will retain the highest percentage of the purchase price after a three-year period. This all-important value retention recognition provides consumers with peace of mind when choosing a new vehicle.
“As one of every three Mazdas sold around the world is a MAZDA3, this award speaks not just to the quality of an individual vehicle, but to the overall strength of the Mazda brand,” said Jim O’Sullivan, President and CEO, Mazda North American Operations. “We are pleased to be recognized by ALG for having vehicles that are not only fun to drive, but have some of the highest resale values.”

All-new for 2010, the MAZDA3 boasts a level of refinement, sophistication and fun-to-drive dynamics that are not found in other compact vehicles. MAZDA3 is available in either four-door sedan or five-door hatchback body styles, and with a choice of two engines and two transmissions, and is the company’s best-selling vehicle, with over two-million sold worldwide since 2003.

ALG determines the award winners after carefully studying the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance and industry trends. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand and pricing strategies are among the key factors that affect ALG’s residual value forecasts.

“We believe Residual Value remains the best metric for evaluating the overall strength of an automotive brand, and we congratulate Mazda for the proven success of its MAZDA3,” said James Clark, General Manager of ALG. “The ALG Residual Value Awards are recognized throughout the industry and by consumers as the mark of a healthy brand; winning this award is a testament to an exceptionally strong product and all of us at ALG are pleased to recognize that accomplishment.”

Based in Santa Barbara, California, ALG is a leading provider of data and consulting services to the automotive industry. ALG publishes the “Automotive Lease Guide” – the standard for Residual Value projections in North America, and has been forecasting automotive residual values for over 40 years in both the U.S. and Canadian markets. ALG is a company of DealerTrack Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRAK).

Celebrating its 40th Anniversary in the United States in 2010, Mazda North American Operations is headquartered in Irvine, Calif. and oversees the sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico through nearly 900 dealers. Operations in Canada are managed by Mazda Canada, Inc., located in Ontario; and in Mexico by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City.

Hey Yaris...meet your replacement.

At the LA Auto Show, which you do not want to miss, the AMAZING new Mazda 2 will be showcased... and here's your first look!

BREAKING: Mazda 2 coming to the U.S.
This just in: that fantabulous little Mazda we've admired from afar for the past couple years, the Mazda 2 (also known as the Demio in Japan), is coming to all of North America, the U.S. included. President and CEO of Mazda's North American Operations, Jim O'Sullivan, has just told the automaker's top dealers that the diminutive Mazda will go on sale in the U.S. around the end of 2010. The 2008 World Car of the Year is headed for America, promising high mpg and a "zoom-zoom" personality. It's the subcompact car that rates 40 miles per gallon on the European combined driving cycle and is getting rave reviews. Indeed, it beat out the Mercedes-Benz C-Class to win 2008 World Car of the Year honors.

The LA Auto Show will be held from 12/4-12/13 at the LA Convention Center and at both our stores, we have discount tickets available.

Zoom-Zoom Little Mazda 2...we can't wait to see you!
